MATT SMART
Matt Smart is an Entrepreneur and Operations and Sales Professional from Charlotte, North Carolina. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder, he started his career in sales with United Rentals. He then spent 12 years in the oil and gas space; eight of which was spent working for Baker Hughes.
In 2018, Matt recognized a need for American-made cable protectors to support wellbore operations across the country. He partnered with Mark Robinson and Chandler England to develop what would become the first HULK clamp to be deployed in the Bakken region.
Today, HULK has become the leading cable protection/securement company in the United States with over a million installed and counting in the Bakken, Permian Basin, and other basins around the country. HULK started as a dream in a Denver garage and has now grown into an oil and gas equipment manufacturing powerhouse.
Matt lives in Littleton, Colorado with his wife, Natelie, and their two daughters, Reagan (4) and Palmer (1). They enjoy snowboarding, mountain biking, and spending time together as a family.
